Ben: Croatia E Slovenia

Guess what. I went to Croatia! We went to so many places.
We got to see so many boats because we are next to the Adriatico Sea.
It is so clear. We went to a very big island.

                                                 SLOVENIA
Guess what we went to Slovenia. It was so much fun it had baby dragons.
There was so much to see you guys should go some day.The caves are amazing. Its almost like they light up. I hope go there some day.

Guest Post: Winston

Baby Winston

This is Baby Winston's 1st blog post: a3 MK, KM;T77GBV   CCRXTD  RTFGTV46D RTUFG (Winston's actually typing)

Winston spent about a week in Padova with the Pawlowski family.  His life is very different in Italy. He spends much of the time in a stroller.  He takes the tram or bus and walks all over the city.  People in Padova love babies.  People always talk to Winston and many times people come up to touch his hands or face.  Winston never complains and seems to enjoy this new Italian lifestyle. Also he is enjoying his time with Ben and Ethan.  They play with him, push him in the stroller and help make sure he gets taken care of... however, they don't change diapers.  We have had a great visit learning about life in Padova!

What is your favorite thing to do with out me? What are you doing there? Who is wondering how it is going here? What was your favorite thing?

This weekend, we went to go to my friends house. It was so fun! They cooked us a huge lunch!

Ben: Friends

We have some friends in Italy from the U.S.. There names are Robin Bob and there baby Winston.
They have brought some stuff like candy.
They go to a lot of cool places just like us.

We were at the Michigan train station.

It is a castle.

I do not know what this is.

We have been on so many trains. It is so fun to go on them.
We went on one to Chicago and a lot of different places.
We went to a new city called Trieste. It had a lot of cool things.

"What do kids do all afternoon?"

As I mentioned before, we were happy to find the boys a school with a shortened school day. We just didn't understand what life looks like on that schedule. Dave asked one of the graduate students at the university, "What do kids do all afternoon?" She answered, "Homework. And sometimes sport." We couldn't see how that was possible... hours of homework after school?

Yup. Hours of homework after school. I didn't realize just how much there was at first, because of our lack of a diario for Ben. The messages I was getting through the moms' group texts (particularly for Ben's class) were so confusing. What were all of these assignments they were talking about? Why didn't Ben have any of them? I figured that the teacher was just giving him time to adjust.

Ethan is very
conscientous. Yes, he's
doing homework on
the floor of the bus.
